About the B.Tech CSE-AI/ML programme
The AI/ML specialisation takes the full CSE core — data structures, operating systems, networks, databases — and layers a machine learning track on top of it from the second year onward. You move from classical statistical learning to deep neural networks, and every theory module is paired with a build: a recommender, a vision pipeline, a fine-tuned language model. Final-year work is a capstone on real data, supervised jointly by faculty and an industry mentor.

B.Tech CSE-AI/ML: common questions
No. Year 1 starts from first principles with Python and C. What helps far more is comfort with school-level mathematics, since the ML track leans on algebra and probability throughout.
The CSE core is the same. The difference is roughly six additional AI/ML papers from semester 3 onward — machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, generative AI and MLOps — plus a capstone that has to ship a working model.
AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist and NLP Specialist are the common first-job titles. A number of students also go on to M.Tech or research programmes.
