About the B. Des Visual Communication & Digital Design programme

A design degree covering the full visual communication range — typography, branding, editorial, motion and digital. The first year is a common design foundation built on drawing, colour, form and composition; from year two the work becomes brief-driven, with live client projects and a graduating portfolio that is assessed as a professional body of work rather than a set of assignments.

Why study B. Des Visual Communication & Digital Design at TIU

Foundation year in craft

Drawing, colour theory and composition before software — the part that distinguishes a designer from a tool operator.

Live briefs from year two

Real clients, real constraints, real feedback, supervised by faculty.

Portfolio as the final assessment

Graduation rests on a portfolio reviewed the way a studio would review it.

Motion and digital included

Animation, UI and motion graphics sit alongside print, because brand work now spans all of it.
