About the B.Sc (H) in Visual Effects & Animation programme
A degree in visual effects and animation delivered with Seamedu, built around the post-production pipeline: modelling, animation, FX simulation, lighting, rendering and compositing. Training follows industry workflow, so you learn to work to shot specifications and hand off cleanly between departments — the practical reality of VFX work, which is almost always collaborative.
Why study B.Sc (H) in Visual Effects & Animation at TIU
You learn to work to shot specs and hand off between departments, which is how VFX is actually produced.
Nuke-based compositing is a full track, and it is where most entry-level VFX hiring happens.
Character animation and FX simulation are both covered before you specialise.
Final-year output is a breakdown reel built to studio expectations.
What you study, year by year

Where this degree takes you
B.Sc (H) in Visual Effects & Animation: common questions
VFX is offline rendering for film and video, where quality is the constraint. Game art is real-time, where performance budgets constrain everything. The craft overlaps; the pipelines and priorities differ.
Drawing and anatomy are taught from foundation in year one. Prior skill helps but is not required.
A demo reel with a clear breakdown of what you did on each shot. The final year is structured around producing one.
Compositing and roto/clean-up have the largest entry-level intake; animation and FX are more competitive. You specialise in year four after trying each.
